General Therapy Questions

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, substance use, relational challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, and more. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand or are looking to feel more at ease, more connected, and more fully themselves. I also support people working through self-criticism, emotional pain, and questions of meaning or purpose.

I am always receptive to what you may want to bring to the first session, or any session. Generally, the first session is a chance to connect and to hear more about what you are hoping to work through in therapy. I do not follow a structured template, but I always bring my curiosity to ask questions that help me better understand what it means to be you. Although it is welcome, there is no pressure to go deep right away. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and collaborative.

Yes, I offer a free 20-minute discovery call so we can connect and explore whether we’d be a good fit. Book your discovery call here.

My work is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic, and humanistic approaches. I aim to meet you with curiosity and care, supporting self-awareness, healing, and personal growth through a non-pathologizing and collaborative lens.

Most clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions. We can discuss a rhythm that feels right for your goals, availability, and capacity.

Fit & Philosophy

I do my best to convey who and how I am through my writing. However, the discovery call is a great place to further explore this. I encourage you to ask questions, notice how you feel in our conversation, and trust your instincts. Fit is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic process.

No diagnosis is needed. People come to therapy for many reasons; some are navigating pain or distress, others are seeking clarity, growth, or reconnection with themselves.

Yes. I have experience supporting clients with developmental, relational, and intergenerational trauma. My approach is paced, respectful, and grounded in safety, collaboration, and somatic awareness.

Yes. I’m committed to creating a respectful and affirming space where all identities, neurotypes, and life experiences are welcomed and honoured.

Yes. I strive to offer culturally sensitive, identity-affirming care. I understand that each client’s lived experience is shaped by culture, race, migration, history, and systemic and intersectional factors. I aim to meet clients with humility, curiosity, and respect for the wisdom and complexity of their backgrounds and stories. I am committed to decolonizing and anti-oppressive ways of working and I constantly strive to learn, unlearn, and challenge systems of inequality and oppression.
